Fees for Registered Massage Therapy Suggested Canadian Fees for 2011 Individual therapists’ Appointment fees may vary. Variances in fees are often based on the therapist’s years in practice, established hours of operation, location and overhead. Ontario Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) is included in fees.

Massage Therapy appointments can include intake, initial assessment, history, consultation, treatment, self-care, and charting.
The policies for missed or cancelled
appointments without one full business day’s notice of cancellation are to
charge the full fee for appointment. Insurance Coverage in Canada: Insurers often require a Doctor’s recommendation or referral in order to be covered or reimbursed. Many private insurance companies provide full or partial coverage of Massage Therapy. Check under your workplace Extended Health Care Plan, or check with your privately purchased Extended Health Plan Policy. When you or a passenger in your car sustains injuries in an automobile accident, your Automobile Insurance may offer potential coverage for Massage Therapy. All provinces have different legislation; please check your province’s auto insurance legislation, private or provincial auto Insurance policy and service provider for specific details on dollar amounts and eligibility. WSIB covers massage therapy when recommended under specific circumstances; these vary from province to province.
